Bug Description

Hi,

I have a repetitive bug that affects this app :I have somme music in my collection that make the application freeze whenever I try to play them. Every time I try to play such a track, the application stop working and I can not play any other track. The only way to solve it is to reboot the system (not just the app).

Do you need me to send you one of this file?

Regards.

Hi Thomas, thanks for taking the time to file this bug and make Ubuntu better! Could you attach the following files/logs:

1. /home/phablet/.cache/upstart/media-hub.log
2. /home/phablet/.cache/upstart/application-click-com.ubuntu.music_music_*.log
3. /home/phablet/.cache/mediascanner-2.0/mediastore.db

Also, just in case it doesn't show up in the logs, could you specify the song that is causing the crash?

Thanks!

Hi,

Well, how can I do this, because when I use the folder app, I do not see the '.cache" folder, neither when I use the terminal.

Thanks!

Hi,

I also have this problem, it happens with every song I try to play.

I have attatched my log files, however one of them was not present on my device.

Thank you.

Hi!

How did you access the log, because I can not find them?

Steven,

Thanks, I've looked at your media hub log and the mediascanner2 database and didn't see anything in particular. I'll add the mediahub team as affected so they can triage.

@Thomas, @Steven: can you both attach one or more of the media files so that I can try them locally? I don't see anything to suggest that it's a media-hub issue in Steven's log.
