Bug Description

Binary package hint: me-tv

Me TV 0.5.30 (current Intrepid) does not save main window position.
It starts every time on position (100,100) no matter what position was when
me-tv was closed last time. Height and width are saved correctly.
When I change x, y parameters in config file, these new values are respected
but still new positions are not saved so only way to set position is thru config file
directly.
As I remember this was not problem in previous versions of me-tv.

Hi Roman,

Me TV no longer supports setting the window position at startup, to replicate this feature you should configure your window manager to do so. You are correct in raising this as a bug because I think that it was supposed to work in 0.5.X but the newer versions do not implement an initial window geometry feature so I can see no other way to deal with this but to set it to invalid. To be clear, your bug is actually a valid issue but I can't set its state to "Will not fix" which is more accurate.

As for your current situation, you've done the only thing that would work i.e. setting values manually. Thanks for working that out.

Thanks,

Michael
