Install 24.04 oh no something has gone wrong

1. Ubuntu 24.04 Numbat (development) iso.
2. No specific package: Booted from installation iso usb.
3. Desktop should be displayed.
4. white screen; in the middle "oh no something has gone wrong"
after some time the welcome sound; and a small window appears in the upper left corner.
From there the installation can be done. It is not possible to try ubuntu.

The same thing happens with the release of Ubuntu 24.04. I suspect that the problem is with the wayland session in which the live cd is launched.

The same happened to me after updating from 22.01 to 24.04 using do-release upgrade
Even the ctrl+alt+fn is not working
From recovery mode terminal not working dpkh configure -a is also throwing errors
Sudo apt update is giving ign... Ign.... Ign

The same happened to me after upgrading to Ubuntu 24.04 from 23.10 via the upgrade button shown in the update dialog.

I could mitigate the issue by installing lighdm and via ```dpkg-reconfigure gdm3``` choosing lightdm as default.

So it is still an issue after the official upgrade path is live.

Brand new installation with the latest Iso downloaded today. The Live-CD presented the screen, however I was able to install the OS.

Upon booting, white screen of death.
