mc doesnt start on 22.10 Kinetic

Bug Description

Im using the Ubuntu Preview from the Microsoft Store in WSL2 in Windows 10.
In 20.04 it worked.
Working Version in 20.04:
mc --version && echo "" && cat /etc/lsb-release && uname -a
GNU Midnight Commander 4.8.24
Built with GLib 2.63.3
Using the S-Lang library with terminfo database
With builtin Editor and Aspell support
With subshell support as default
With support for background operations
With mouse support on xterm and Linux console
With support for X11 events
With internationalization support
With multiple codepages support
Virtual File Systems: cpiofs, tarfs, sfs, extfs, ext2undelfs, ftpfs, sftpfs, fish
Data types: char: 8; int: 32; long: 64; void *: 64; size_t: 64; off_t: 64;

If I start mc, nothing happens. No error messages, I can write on the terminal:

It also doesnt work, if I try to start it from bash. Or with the root User.
