I'm not sure what caused the crash. I was dealing with wallpaper files with Nautilus at the time. I had looked at a few using Image Viewer. After I closed Image Viewer and began to highlight files to move, there was a brief flash of the screen and then the Apport window appeared announcing the crash. I haven't been able to reproduce it, yet.
