apparently not, ipython is now broken in quantal.
please make sure to get mathjax 2.0.3 into quantal!

I don't see any release newer than 2.0 at
http://www.mathjax.org/download/, and the latest commit on GitHub is
also equal to 2.0. Is there any tarball for 2.0.3 or a diff that fixes
the issue with ipython?

Ignore that, I've found upstream branch
https://github.com/mathjax/MathJax/commits/v2.0-latest that contains
2.0.x updates. I'll update the Debian package to the latest snapshot
from there ASAP.

By the way, I've tested the latest IPython (0.13-1) with mathjax 2.0-2 and it works fine for me (http://ubuntuone.com/1sIbDRC4phy33We9fHqWHZ).

The only error I get is:
WARNING:root:404 GET /mathjax/images/MenuArrow-15.png (127.0.0.1) 2.45ms,
this is something that I think should be addressed in IPython.

you are right, after I cleaned my cache it also worked with 2.0, sorry for the noise
it would still be better if we could follow what upstream ships via their cdn (currently 2.0.3)

wait for an official release.

this is their official release and its 6 month old.
its what you get when you click download on their page, they just seem to be to lazy to tag them in git.
e.g. 1.1 is already at 1.1.17
