Mouseover doesn't show stats

Bug Description
When I hover my mouse over it, on the panel, it doesn't show me how much cpu / ram / etc. is being used, like it used to. Like the mate sensors applet does.

Workarounds I have found are to switch to the cinnamon desktop, or the (default ubuntu) gnome shell desktop with the dash to panel extension, which has finally made me not hate gnome shell: https:/ /extensions. gnome.org/ extension/ 1160/dash- to-panel/
Both of these have an extremely similar thing that works, that will let you see actual numbers in text in some reasonable way.
You can select the desktop when you log in. If you don't have one installed, it's just a matter of installing one of: ubuntu-desktop cinnamon- desktop- environment
