Bug Description
Have had continuing problmes with mate-panel (not displayting) and other system messages when running some programs. I have and underlying issue that randomly the system freezes and the fan On/Off loundly.
Some reports messages referrer to unknonwn window manager.
Being a novice have had difficulty understanding the bug report process and execution. Using Ubuntu bug to report crashes, which of none generate a report when the system locks up and have to cold/hard shutdown. LightDM is the only crash report generated. Then using apport-cli to report non crash bugs. Downloading the debug packages and how to use them. Still wadding through all the documentation to comprehend and a handle on it. Having very limited wifi access makes it more time consumming.
I have reinstalled almost anything that had to do with session, panel, greeter, mate-default settings, diplay drivers ( thats a kinky bug in itself as have to remove;

To rid of the Meta Pkgs
Then remove all the sub pckgs

This makes the system usable again and stops constrant lock ups for awhile.
Sorry had 3 more reports to file and just learned library clossing not a late noght as I thought.
