Bug Description

When waking my laptop from hibernate, the (presumably) last drawn image of the logged in user is occasionally displayed before the lock screen is shown.

For example if I had a maximized caja window in my first workspace and I shut my laptop lid, there is a non-zero chance that upon opening the laptop later and waking the machine the individual who opened the lid may be able to briefly see all files / documents within that caja window *before*

I have noticed this multiple times on my Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Carbon, but I have not noticed it occur on my Lenovo 130S-11IGM or my Lenovo Thinkpad T480. I have not found a consistent method to reproduce the behavior, so I am not sure whether or not it is the specific machine that causes the behavior.

All occurrences have happened on Ubuntu MATE 18.04.
The most recent of which occurred on 2019-08-31 on an up-to-date version of Ubuntu MATE 18.04.

EDIT: the second paragraph should read:

For example if I had a maximized caja window in my first workspace and I shut my laptop lid, there is a non-zero chance that upon opening the laptop later and waking the machine the individual who opened the lid may be able to briefly see all files / documents within that caja window *before* the lock screen is showed.

This has been fixed on the master branch of mate-screensaver: https://github.com/mate-desktop/mate-screensaver/commit/234e5c835559b0afe56c2af246e2148ac5b47a07

I'm seeing the same bug in Ubuntu 20.04. Is it the same issue that came back?
