I get this crash in Ubuntu MATE 17.04 Beta 2 64-bit (using MATE version 1.18.0) running in a VirtualBox VM (VirtualBox 5.1.18 [latest], VirtualBox Guest Additions [5.1.18] not yet installed, host OS is Linux Mint 17.2 Cinnamon 64-bit).
So far, it has happened twice during testing, when changing Panel Layout from within MATE Tweak:
1. When I changed the layout to "Mutiny"
2. When I enabled the Advanced Menu (aka Mint Menu).
