Bug Description

I upgraded my dual boot XPS 9870 to Ubuntu 22.04 and after a day or so the toucpad is not recognized. I looked up the dmesg errors online, it seems a common problem that Ubuntu had regularly over past years that a touchpad is recognized as generic mouse and cannot be activiated.

interestingly it works in the login screen, but when the GUI starts, the touchpad cannot be actiavted again.
