Bug Description

In 19.10, the mate desktop is adding an extra border around all applications, black, about 1/4 inch.
Not happening in 19.04. Using Marco Adaptive compositor. See attached screenshot.

I see, so this is how it works, post a bug report, it goes ignored for 60 days and then it's "expired". Great system.

Can you reproduce the bug in newer Ubuntu MATE versions like 20.04 LTS or 21.04, 21.10 ?

Which video driver do you use?

      Yes it only happens when you connect in via x2go, I'm using the kernel
mode Xorg.

Oh another thing I forgot to mention, in x2go it only happens if compositing is enabled in mate-tweak. If I disable compositing I am able to work around this. This makes it a low priority bug.

It's even worse now with 22.04, I used to be able to stop the extra borders by turning compositing off. With 22.04 when accessed with x2go, it does it no matter what the compositing settings.
