Pointer Slider Crash Then Can't log in to User Account

Bug Description
Following the menus...
-Appearance
-Customize
-Customize Theme
-Pointer Slider
If I adjust the Pointer slider to change the size of the pointer the computer will crash.
After this I can no longer log in to the user account for which this happened.

Can't reproduce on VirualBox 6.0.20 and on real hardware with Intel and Nvidia GPU.
Details needed:
* Ubuntu MATE version
* video adapter and video driver
* window manager - marco, compton, compiz
