Bug Description

Fresh install of Ubuntu Mate 20.04 development release. Machine has a GTX650 and I opted to install the proprietary drivers at install time.

Some windows, such as the "Logout" window, draw very slowly. A frame and titlebar appears for a second before the window expands and draws content. I can't replicate this on my laptop which is using Intel drivers; the windrow drawing is instant there. See the attached GIF.

What should happen:
- Window should appear instantly

What actually happens:
- Window title and frame appears, waits a second then the window expands and content is drawn

There is no improvement if I switch off compositing in Mate Tweaks.
