If an invalid backwards message range ending in non-zero is specified then an error message is displayed and there is no problem.

mail> d 9-1
d: range error near end

If an invalid backwards message range ending in zero is specified, then mail.mailutils crashes with a segmentation fault which is a serious problem.

Segmentation fault
