Thanks for taking the time to file a bug! Based on the error message I would want to ask you to try starting to the service again and see how long it takes before timeout actually exceeds. And if the mailman logs have any further output.

Without some more information I am unsure there is anything for us to work on.

I did find https://github.com/systemd/systemd/issues/2716, but I beleive we have that fix.
