Bug Description

Mail Notification does not display any kind of tray icon. The program runs on background normally and displays notifications without problems.

Looking at bug #874986, a similar kind of problem has been solvable in the past by setting "systray-whitelist" to "all" under "com.canonical.Unity.Panel" in dconf-editor. An Ubuntu Forums thread (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2053667) explains that this is because "the old notification message tray doesn't support Ubuntu's appIndicator API". Notice that I am not certain if this is the actual cause of the bug. Anyway, the particular dconf setting can not be found in Ubuntu 14.04 anymore.
