Bug Description

It surprised me, reading it s a mail-notify crash. I tried to press the CONVERT-button in VLC-Player, then all crashed. Before I tried to press VLC Players OPEN-button with the same result. I couldn't activate the Gnome Sidebar by mouse move in the upper left corner. The Gnome Topbar was invisible (crashed?) . All opend windows lost their frames (window surrounding + close, min, max buttons). The window contents remained active, so I could write this report.

I observed a crash caused by VLC-Player (repeatedly), not by mail-notification, so the system report "mail-notification crashed with SIGSEGV in g_closure_invoke()" might be a follow of a VLC-Player Crash.

Ubuntu 12.10, quantal
Gnome 3.5
