This bug report is a Feature Freeze Exception request on behalf of the Ubuntu Budgie team for magpie v0.9.3 (updated from v0.9.2).

From a Ubuntu archive point of view this release is key to support the GNOME 45 transition. Specifically GNOME 45 gsettings-desktop-schemas removes a key that the existing magpie depends upon (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/magpie/+bug/2031620). This causes the budgie window manager to crash.
From a Ubuntu Budgie point of view this release does not introduce any key new features and is purely a bug-fix release.
- Resolves a regression where magpie in ubuntu does not have the lunar fractional scaling capabilities (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/magpie/+bug/2031908). This is resolved by backporting the lunar mutter fractional scaling patch
- backports a mutter v43.7 patch to resolve monitors choosing the wrong resolution if multiple monitor resolutions are offered.
We currently have this staged in https://launchpad.net/~ubuntubudgie-dev/+archive/ubuntu/budgiedesktopffe if you wish to inspect the package.
