Hey guys,
I have found a bug that really drives me nuts.
After working a while in lyx my compiz process crashes. In very few cases compiz just shuts down and leaves the default window decorator behind, in most cases my screen starts showing a flickering bunch of lines and colors. The system does not freeze, so I can still work e.g. hear the music that was playing, change windows (and apparently the colors do change when I change windows). After extensivly pressing the select screen button on my laptop I can get back to the original state, but compiz is at 100% cpu.
This is a lyx only phenomenon, it never happens with other software applications.
I am using Ubuntu 9.10 x64
