Bug Description
Binary package hint: lyx
On Jaunty, using LyX 1.6.2, bringing up the spell-checker renders LyX non-responsive. However, one can still close LyX. This occurs on all new documents I create (with language set to English or English UK and with aSpell set as the spell-checker). On some documents, where language is set to English (UK) and encoding to UTF8 (rather than "language default") the spell checker works fine. I cannot, however, find a reliable workaround.

Here is a simple workaround.
The problem only occurs when a spell check is initiated when the cursor is at the end of the document. The workaround is to move the cursor somewhere else (not at the very end of the document) before running a spell check.
