A new major upgrade for LyX has arrived as LyX 1.6.0, bringing major improvements to the user interface and new features. LyX 1.6.0-1 is currently in Jaunty. intrepid-release contains LyX 1.5.6-0ubuntu1 and hardy-backports currently contains LyX 1.5.5-1~hardy1.
