Bug Description

After upgrading from Ubuntu 13.04 to 13.10
The keyboard layout: Hebrew (lyx) no longer have the 1-8 numeric characters at all

This makes this layout (that was my preffered hebrew layout) unusable on its own

Hi Lee, thanks for the report. Since I don't use keyboard layouts I have trouble understanding what the problem is. What do you mean when you say that Hebrew no longer has the 1-8 numeric characters? When you press the "3" key, nothing shows up? The askubuntu thread you linked to said they tried to upload a picture but could not. Perhaps you could do so here?

You might want to give LyX 2.1beta2 a try. It's easy to install it alongside your other LyX version and there's no conflict:

Note that I checked the Hebrew map file and the last changes to it were done in 2007 so it must be a packaging problem or a more general problem in LyX.

I think the broblem is in the keybord layout called hebrew lyx and not in
the software called lyx. And to answer the question when i klick on the 3
key nothing happens at the hebrew lyx layout. On other layouts i get 3
typed into the document
