Bug Description

Hello, currently there's no way to lock the screen from the "Logout..." dialog (lxsession-logout). As all the user account logout options are already there, it would be good to have a "Lock Screen" action in the lxsession-logout dialog.

I use lxsession for my session management, and had to create a .desktop launcher to run this very simple action. I still find it very annoying that this button is not in the dialog.

There is a desktop-agnostic way to run that, that is, running `xdg-screensaver lock` which should lock the screen using whatever screensaver you have running (tested with xscreensaver and gnome-screensaver).

Please add this button to the dialog, or let me know if you think it should not be there.

Thanks

There seems to be such a button in 13.10, but it does not work by default: Bug #1205384

lxsession correctly displays a lock screen button if xscreensaver is installed. I had gnoke-screensaver installed at the time of the report so that's why it wouldn't display. This is a corener case though, most people willed just use xscreensaver. Better close this.
