touchpad setting not persistent

Bug Description

I have Lubuntu 20.04 which uses LXQt 0.14.1 environment. To set the Touchpad to disable natural scrolling I uncheck "Natural Scrolling" in the "Mouse and Touchpad" section of the "Keyboard and Mouse Settings" dialog box and click "apply". This does not persist between sessions.

This is not reproducible in any supported version of Lubuntu, so I'm going to assume this was fixed at some point.

I'm running Lubuntu 23.1 and it is still not persistent. What additional information can I provide?
