Bug Description

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
 1. Open configuration for "desktop switcher" in panel (e.g. right click on the widget)
 2. Change the display from number to name
 3. Change the default names from "desktop 1," "desktop 2," etc. to something else, (e.g. "a," "b," etc.)
 4. Click Close
 5. Reboot or logout/back in

EXPECTED RESULTS
Desktop switcher widget in panel should show the names chosen.

ACTUAL RESULTS
Desktop switcher widget in panel shows the default names (e.g. "desktop 1")

I can't reproduce this in Jammy, even without a logout.

To be clear, the widget will always show numerical values for each of the desktops. The desktop name is shown when mousing over.
