Lubuntu daily QA-test (live) on
- hp 8200 elite sff (i5-2400, 8gb, nvidia quadro 600)

I saw @lynorian's comment on #lubuntu-devel, so

- opened `pcmanfm-qt` & navigated to an installed directory (lubuntu 20.04 /home/guiverc/ directory)

- selected a text file (`calamares-settings-ubuntu_20.04.2.dsc`)
- right click & selected "compress"
(a dialog here that selected the type & location for result, .tar.gz but I didn't care; did it for variations I tried too)

It opens a PROGRESS window and gets to 50%
"Adding file /home/lubuntu"

then

"ERROR
Failed to execute the command (OK)"

same session as my comment #2
(note I'd not use a GUI to do this, so cannot rule out errors on my behalf)

- created a new archive "archive.test.tar.gz" using lxqt-archiver
- when I try to add a text file (this time 'ubuntu_bugs-my-responses.txt') I again get two error boxes open up

Error: Failed to execute the command
Error: Archive not found

Note this is a closer test to what @lynorian did

I just repeated comment #5 but with lxqt-archiver opened at a terminal so I could get messages (nothing was evident in /var/crash or dmesg) and this time no issues??

I repeated #5 a few times without issue, including to different archive.test2.tar.gz & different source files... without issue??

rebooted the live session so a new environment again and tried again.. no issues??? you

I can no-longer create issue in comment #5 so maybe my steps are incomplete, or something is missing sorry.

I've had issues yes (twice), but also not had issues too???
