Bug Description

When multiple instances of LibreOffice are opened in Lubuntu (and one or several of those instances are closed, or minimized), the lxpanel tend to crash. The user is forced to restart the panel via terminal. A similar issue (I presume is the very same) was reported in this thread (http://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?f=175&t=73668&start=0)

I have just tried this on 11.04 10 and I can't reproduce the error. What version of Lubuntu are you running and does this happen every time or just sporadically?

Sorry that's meant to say 11.04 AND 11.10, neither of those 2 displayed the issue when I tested them several times on both versions.

Jared, the issue also happens when, one having two or more instances of LibreOffice open, switches to another desk...

I can't reproduce this with any of the methods stated, can anyone else confirm this behaviour or have any ideas how to look into this further? Willing to test ideas on 11.04 and 11.10.

Jared, is there any log I could look into, to check if this behaviour has been somehow recorded?

This happens to me as well. I thought the whole system froze. It always seems to happen with multiple documents open (MS windows office doc format). I'm not sure if I switched between two different desktops or not. I'll have to experiment

Even i have the same.. Still persists in lubuntu 11.10... Will it assigned? Keep the multiple libre office docs open for nearly an hour..then lxpanel crashes..

Affects me too, primarily after closing the last window in a set of open windows and thus exit the program. lxpanel heads for 100% on task panel. If terminated, then the lxpanel restarts. If killed, then a terminal has to be used to relaunch lxpanel. I can usually avoid the problem by not closing Libreoffice. FWIW, here are some details on my rig:

Same thing happens to me with Lubuntu 11.10. lxpanel crashes as soon as you close the last LibreOffice window.

I'll try and reproduce the thing with .doc files. I have the same problem, too.
