Bug Description
Binary package hint: lxpanel
Text on task bar is barely visible. This is one place where visibility matters: if you have several windows open, you can click on the one you want to bring it up... if you can see the text.
Panel height is 18 px and uses button option (in task bar options), not flat buttons.
Bolding the text would help and changing the font or font size might help also, but these options are not available for the task bar.
Because people use different setting, the only solution is to offer all of bold, font face, and font size options.
It has been discussed before, but task bar readability is more important than you think. Hope you solved this.
Good work!

Unable to reproduce in Lubuntu Natty Alpha 3.
Please provide more detailed steps to reproduce this issue. A screenshot of the "barely visible" text would be helpful.
Attempted steps to reproduce:
(1) Boot Lubuntu
(2) Log in
(3) Right click on panel
(4) Select "Panel Settings" from popup menu
(5) In "Panel Preferences" window, set Height to 18 (per bug description) and Icon to 16 pixels
(6) Click "Close" button in "Panel Preferences" window.
(7) Open several application windows.
(8) Text on panel buttons seems readable to me, black text on very light grey is high contrast and font seems suitable.
Unless someone can reproduce this and provide the steps for doing so, I think it can be considered to have been fixed.
