empty menu on lxpanel crash

Bug Description
When lxpanel crashes then restarts, there are no items in the Menu, except for Run and Logout. Everything else is missing. Attached is the file ~/.cache/
Upon viewing the log file, the exit code 139 crops up a bit, which, with googling, is the exit code for a segmentation fault that usually happens when a program accesses memory it's not allowed to access (I think).
The very last exit code is 15. Restarting it with lxpanelctl restart didn't seem to do anything so I killed lxpanel and manually restarted it and the menu had items in it again, although I had to manually restart twice before the menu was not empty:
