Bug Description
1) Lubuntu 12.10 i386 Beta2 (25 September 2012, 03:06) Live Session USB drive
2) lxpanel 0.5.10+git2012082
3) I expected lxpanel icons on the right part of the panel to appear much like Lubuntu 12.04.
4) I have attached 2 screenshots of the lxpanel and lxpanel icon spacing on the right portion of the panel. I do not know if this a bug or the new default lxpanel appearance.

Confirmed. It's because we are using 2 ways for displaying icons on the notification area : indicators and systray. The way there are displayed is not perfect, but it will probably be a bit tricky to fix it, as it's not obvious where is the bug (in lxpanel, or in indicator-

this bug is alive on Lubuntu 13.04 32 bits too.
if you change widget as a workaround from another issue from bug #1029212, this bug #1056547 will be more visible.
i don't know if it's a related issue, but i installed supertux kart from ubuntu repo and it looks very strange compared to the experience i had on Lubuntu 12.04 (no problems here)
could not take a screen shot, but the first thing you'll see is a huge icon of supertux kart on the games menu. after clicking on the game, you'll get a lot of video tearing.
is this related to the lxpanel issue?
cheers,
Iberê

@Ibere,
Thank you so much :)
Well, don't get me wrong guys but there are much more important bugs than this which we call 'Critical Bugs' and I would love to see them fixed before 14.04 which is planned to be LTS release.
BUT YES, this is a confirmed bug and Julien himself confirmed that on comment #5 :)
I'm not 100% sure if this bug is also exist in 13.04? I hope it is not.
Thanks :)

Does this bug exist on 13.10??? anyone please confirm that?
Jarno Suni (jarnos) wrote : | #11 |
At least it exists in release notes of 13.10: https:/

@Jarno
You are right about that, just checked it.
Judging from this comment: https:/
It might take a bit longer than what we think in order to get this one fixed.
Is this on real hardware? Which?
