lxdm doesnt start ~/.xsession

Bug Description

.xsession-errors shows this:
export: 8: Session.mandatory.path: bad variable name

I could find a corresponding line in /etc/X11/Xsession.d/70gconfd_path-on-session, but I am not sure if this is connected to the problem.
Using gdm, the ~/.xsession is executed as expected

Hi!

this is my current .xsession:

#!/bin/sh
eval `dbus-launch --sh-syntax --exit-with-session`
eval `ssh-agent`
gnome-settings-daemon &
nm-applet &
kupfer --no-splash &
gnome-volume-manager &
gnome-power-manager &
xscreensaver &
setxkbmap -layout us -variant dvp
setxkbmap -option 'compose:caps,caps:none,altwin:left_meta_win,lv3:ralt_switch,eurosign:5'
exec /usr/bin/awesome

I did remove all of the above except the exec call to start awesome. With the same result.
