Bug Description

This only started happening reently. The Touchpad on my Gateway FX P6680 started having mice problems with the touchpad. LXDE started to become unresponsive to SINGLE and DOUBLE CLICKS, sometimes having to click an object 5 - 10 times beore it would launch an application from the menu or open a file.

i had installed gpointing-device-settings during my troubleshooting to try and find a problem, and disabled tapping, which was also casusing problems, which i'll post as a different bug. i also tryed manuawlly setting the device sensitivity using

xinput set-prop "SynPS/2 Synaptics TouchPad" "Synaptics Finger" 50 30 256

but it returned

X Error of failed request: BadValue (integer parameter out of range for operation)
