Bug Description

I just noticed that our autopkgtest armhf slaves run out of disk space. The main offender is

  -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 726M Nov 8 08:55 /var/log/lxd/lxd.log

This machine was only set up a few weeks ago, and apparently there is no log rotation or other cleanup on this file. I'll set up something to clean this up somehow, but merely deleting the file doesn't work as lxd keeps the file open permanently (so you need to restart lxd).

Please consider using syslog() instead, which has standard mechanisms for log rotation (via rsyslog or the journal).

Version: 2.0.5-0ubuntu1~ubuntu16.04.1
