Bug Description

Environment: Single VM on OpenStack Mitaka Devstack installation, xenial-server-cloudimg-amd64 (2016/05/02)

related package version:
lxd 2.0.0-0ubuntu4
criu 2.0-2ubuntu3

file backend and/or ZFS (no different)

I tried "lxc snapshot c1 -stateful" and became an error: checkpoint failed
I observed the issue only on kvm hypervisor (OpenStack), the same configuration on XenServer works fine.

Hi,

It looks like you need the `linux-image-extra` package, you're missing some of the required modules for checkpoint/restore to work.

Changed in lxc (Ubuntu):
status: New → Invalid

And once https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1580355 is "Fix released" for Xenial you won't need linux-image-extra any more, but you do for now.

Indeed! I installed linux-image-extra-4.4.0-22-generic into the VM and it's work correctly.
Thx, Tycho!
