Selecting/installing tar.gz icon theme or mouse cursor theme crashes lxappearance

Steps to reproduce:
1. download some mouse cursor tarball
2. open lxappearance
3. go to the "Mouse Cursor" tab
4. click "Install"
5. choose the tarball downloaded in 1.
→ Crash

I'm using Lubuntu Precise with lxappearance 0.5.1-1.

For me, when I re-opened lxappearance my new cursors appeared in the list, but could not be used. When I try deleting them it crashes again.

I could reproduce this bug in Quantal with amd64 with the icon theme set. Crash and reload application and theme was there and able to be used.

Cory, this seems to be a new, slightly fixed behaviour then. In Precise, the icon theme is not changed after the crash.
