Kernel version mismatch

Bug Description

Hardy installs kernel version 2.6.24 but Lustre does only support 2.6.23. This makes the kernal patch unusable.

Info about my system:
root@node38:~# cat /etc/lsb-release
DISTRIB_ID=Ubuntu
DISTRIB_RELEASE=8.04
DISTRIB_CODENAME=hardy
DISTRIB_DESCRIPTION="Ubuntu hardy (development branch)"

root@node38:~# dpkg -l linux-patch-lustre | cat
ii linux-patch-lustre 1.6.4.2-1

Newer version of lustre was just released into debian testing:
  http://lists.alioth.debian.org/pipermail/pkg-lustre-maintainers/2008-April/thread.html

The attached patch allows building the kernel for the server side, but I don't have an accompanying patch for building the modules.
