Bug Description
I've got a kvm guest with ubuntu-desktop, kubuntu-desktop and lubuntu-desktop all installed in the same image.
Gnome is happy, lxde (and KDE) aren't.
If I select lxde as the session I get the nice background and panel with menus on the panel.
If I select from the main menu to start an lxterminal the terminal appears (apparently without any decoration)
in the middle of the screen and then moves down the screen slowly - a few steps every second, until after 3 or 4 seconds
it is off the bottom of the screen. At this point the terminal is invisible and the panel is flickering constantly, and the menu
is partially unresponsive.
I've also tried sshing in and starting xeyes from a remote shell when lxe has bought the panel and backdrop up; again the xeyes window moves down the screen until it falls off the bottom and the panel flickers. If I kill the xeyes the panel stops flickering.
Odd!
Dave

I have seen this symptom since Lubuntu's early days. I also see it with mandriva(-based) guests.
