Lubuntu 16.04 splash does not query encryption password

Bug Description

Hi,

just freshly installed Lubuntu 16.04 AMD64 from today's brandnew release.

Installation run's smoothly, but after reboot and grub menu, the system just hangs forever in a dark blue empty screen.

Solution: replacing splash with nosplash in the boot kernel parameters (grub command line editing), system then boots normally and first of all asks for the encryption passwords. I have both the swap and /root partition encrypted.

So obviously there's something wrong with querying passwords if the splash option is selected (as usual after installation).
