description |
Downloaded daily images for 2018-05-14 and 2018-05-15. Neither installer started the installation. Both the try and install menu options lead only to a live session without an install shortcut on the desktop. |
Currently, regardless of whether or not you select "Try Lubuntu before installing" or "Install Lubuntu," the standard live session is loaded. One has to navigate through the menu to launch Calamares (which, of course, if you don't know what it is, you don't know it's the installer).
We need two things here:
1. Fix debian-cd (?) such that "Install Lubuntu" launches the minimal X environment and the installer, as it normally does with Ubiquity.
2. Put a shortcut named "Install Lubuntu" on the Desktop that launches Calamares for the people that try first. |
