Bug Description

After the latest update to the theme, the window buttons are no longer clickable at the bottom one or two pixels of the screen.

I normally just push the mouse to the bottom of the screen and click to select a window. Now I have to targe the button exactly.

A workaround is to de-crease the panel height to 22px

Is it a problem on LXPanel or the theme itslef? It that, may I solve it changing some metrics?

It's definitly a problem with the LXPanel. I have tried another theme and it behaves the same since the last update?

How should we proceed? should i open a new bug against the lxpanel component? Could we perhaps downgrade to the previous version of lxpanel, as the problem seems to be introduced with the upgrade?

Just a stupid question. Do you have any composite manager working? I mean, is there any shadow under or above the panel? And I must insist, my panel works fine. I'll try with other machines.

No, I got the panel aligned on bottom, 24px heigt and 22px icon size (defaults) without compositing enabled.

I move the mouse as far as possible to the bottom screen edge and try to click on a window button. That does not work. Everything else is fine.

If the panel is 24 px and the buttons 22 px and they're centred on the panel, then the behaviour you describe is to be expected as you're clicking on the panel not the button. So it looks like there was a fault previously that has been cured.

No, i don't think this is the correct behavior.

The panel area below and above window buttons should be clickable, too. And that's how it is on all other modern window managers (fit's law), like KDE, GNOME, Xfce or RazorQt.

It should behave as you say really. What size are the icons compared to the panel on the others?

I have tried several combinations, and all are not perfect.

The problem did not exist in initial 0.5.8 versions, so it must have been introduced later.
