Bug Description

On Lubuntu 14.04, gtk3 applications use wrong background color. As a result, the background color is different from window title background color, which was not case before, and which is not the case with gtk2 applications.

I attach a screenshot :
- on the left, a gtk2 application with the right background color ;
- on the right, a gtk3 application with the wrong background color.

There's no bug. Since last Light Themes update, base colour for GTK3 apps is now (near to) white. We can't change base colour because it will affect to menus, the "window frame" control and "notetab" controls. Anyway, I'll resync all base themes again before Release Candidate.

You're right because now, on last Light Themes update, base colour for GTK2 is also white. Lubuntu hasn't updated GTK2 theme.

Ok, I understand.

But could we imagine to adapt title bar background to adapt it to this new background color ?

Titlebar only "adapts" if there's a window with menus and toolbar buttons. If you draw a window without menus or toolbars you'll see the colour difference. We can't do anything to that.

Why not let the background color of the menubar and toolbar match the new brighter background then? The current combination of colors look wrong (see attatched screenshot from Gedit in Blackbox window manager).

This bug is fixed. Some apps with bigger toolbars may show an extra contrast with the dark bevel, but I've tested both GTK2 and GTK3 toolbars, menubars and window borders and they match perfectly. See the attachment, the first GColor shows #E0E0E0 for GTK3 menus/toolbars and the one on the right the same colour for GTK2 ones.
