Binary package hint: luatex

The error occured while installing texlive-latex-base. Below I paste terminal output. It seems that calling "apt-get install texlive-latex-base" once again solved the problem.

Same happens for me. Problem is: /usr/bin/luatex refuses to start with the message:

Unable to read environment locale:exit now.

strace luatex gives:

PS: in /usr/lub/locale I only have the directory "C.UTF-8"

After doing a

ln -s C.UTF-8/ en_AT.UTF-8

at least I got a working TeX installation.
