ltsp will not let primary user login

On the ltsp client I can not login with the primary account that is created when setting up the server machine.

Do you mean login on the console ?

If so, it's perfectly normal, that's using the /etc/passwd of the LTSP
chroot (/opt/ltsp/i386) and not the server's authentication.

Only ldm is using SSH for remote login to the server.

Apparently talking to ogra this is the desired behaviour if the ldm hasn't loaded so this bug is fallout from 494993 and I am closing because of it.
