wrong lsb id in kubuntu - karmic

I think in Kubuntu it should print Kubuntu instead of Ubuntu. The problem is obvious when I use Ubuntu and Kubuntu with grub2. Grub attempt to generate menu entries based on lsb id and if i have installed both *buntu the entries are the same and i cannot distinct(by name) which is Ubuntu and which is Kubuntu.

I agree. With Kubuntu and Ubuntu installed, my Grub menu looks like this:

"Ubuntu" is Ubuntu Trusty Tahr.
"Ubuntu Trusty Tahr" is Kubuntu Trusty Tahr.
The submenu for "Advanced options for Ubuntu Trusty Tahr" has entries that say "Kubuntu".

Same here with Kubuntu Trusty Release. It is confusing. In Saucy it functioned still.

The title should be adapted. The ancient karmic addition can be removed.

Yes, problem is still present in Kubuntu 21.10.
