Bug Description
I have two packages that refuse to run after updating the system and they are:
-Lollypop, a fresh install
-ICE running Firefox with the WhatsApp web site.
Firefox only shows a black screen and nothing else, while Lollypop gives the following error message after a time out:
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/usr/bin/
app = Application(
File "/usr/lib/
self.
gi.repository.
Shutting down the systems only works after a time out too.
I run Xubuntu in a VM on top of ZFS, so I will go back to a version of a week old and block further updates for the moment.

The problems all disappeared after running the synaptic package manager on request of the notification in the panel. I did run
- fix broken packages
- mark all upgrades and there were 5-7 upgrades indicated.
So probably the software-updater caused the problem and left the system with those issues.
