Thanks for contributing to Ubuntu.

The next time you work on a bug please ensure first that it isn't assigned to anybody and then assign it to yourself changing the status to «In Progress» to tell that you are working on this. (I was about to do the same, a luck that because of a LoCo project I had not started yet.)

Uploaded. Two quick things. Please make sure that you change the Maintainer field once Ubuntu changes are added. Secondly, in the desktop file the comment should be more user friendly and not just the name of the package. Thanks for the patch!

Ok guys !

Thank you all for your involvement. It went so fast ! I'm always so surprised, yet, I'm not new in the free software world.
It's a small thing, but rather important for the final release and for newbies.

Thank you all again (welcome Rospo Zoppo).

Don't worry about the lpia build error, lots of packages have been failing on lpia. This fix is now in the archive. Thanks for the patch!

Happening again on hardy 0.3.1 lmms package, no .desktop file in it.
I think that the category entry in the .desktop file should be changed to:
Categories=AudioVideo;Audio;

This is useful when you have ubuntustudio-menu installed to keep audio production apps separated from everyday audio-video apps.

How can this issue be successfully moved forward? I don't know how or why the original fix "got lost".

Is it appropriate to make a new debdiff based on current Hardy sources and attach it to this bug?

here's my 2cents worth

Effects Intrepid as well. I guess LMMS keep omitting from their packages on their site.

echo "[Desktop Entry]

Comment=Create multi-track audio
Exec=lmms

Terminal=false
Type=Application
MimeType=application/x-mmpz;
Categories=Application;AudioVideo;Audio;
GenericName[en_CA]=Linux MultiMedia Studio" | sudo tee /usr/share/applications/lmms.desktop
