The fan keep running for ever even with no job on! Dell precision M6700 a very powerful machine still not performing well

Could you please send us the output of this command:

sudo systemctl status fancontrol.service

It should show us the reason why the service failed to start.

Can you please check your config file and adjust the settings as needed? Maybe all you need to do is re-run pwmconfig
