The log is flooded with messages like this:

I backport the debian version to ppa:dirk-computer42/c42-backport for precise.
I installed this version and after removing the broken sensord.rrd file the issue has been gone.

For me it works on 3 different installations.

@jhanssonxi: Do you remove the broken file /var/log/sensord.rrd after updating sensord ?

@H.-Dirk Schmitt: I fixed the problem. I deleted the file but also my cgi script was faulty and I had to create a new one with sensord.

see package changelog - the debian fix also landed in ubuntu (precise and further)
