Bug Description
Binary package hint: llvm-2.8
The bug:
$ sudo dpkg-reconfigure llvm-2.8-runtime
update-binfmts: warning: unable to open /usr/share/
update-binfmts: warning: couldn't find information about 'llvm.binfmt' to import
update-binfmts: exiting due to previous errors
$ ls /usr/share/binfmts/
llvm-2.8.binfmt python2.6
The fix:
So, either 1. llvm-2.8.binfmt should be renamed back to llvm.binfmt (which would conflict with llvm-2.7-runtime? but what happens if both llvm-2.7.binfmt and llvm-2.8.binfmt are registered anyway?); 2. there should be an update-alternatives symlink installed to llvm.binfmt; or 3. the postinst script needs to be updated to refer to llvm-2.8.binfmt.
